ME Miranda

Oh my gosh!! I'm not dead.

Yes, believe it or not I'm not dead. I just took a really long sabatical from lj. I just couldn't think of anything to write and pretty much was just avoiding my computer in general. Nowadays I'm back in school at a community college. I'm taking social, developmental and Family psychology and an astronomy class. I'm sort of getting ready to transition back to life at Cal Poly. I spend most of my day in school, volunteering, and studying my ass off to get good grades. Astronomy is a bitch. I honestly didn't think it was going to be this hard. I've apparently learned that I have little spatial reasoning skills. Try imagining that both the Earth and the moon are rotating on their own axis, the moon revolves around the Earth and that the same side of the moon is always facing the Earth. My brain dies trying to picture it in my head. Oh well.

I'm pissed about the whole lunar eclipse thing. I was so excited only to have my hopes dashed when San Diego stayed completely cloudy all day and night.

On much more exciting news: I'm totally going to Dragon-con!!! If you are reading this Alissa and Spink, I have indeed decided to go. It's going to be so exciting. I've been getting kind of disillusioned with Comic Con over the years. All the comic and geeky stuff are being pushed aside for the big name celebrities and their movies which are questionably scifi/fantasy/comics. Hopefully my giddiness for cons will come back.

Back to depressing news: I was looking up grad school info and nearly had a panic attack. I feel like I'm starting really late in the game and I have no  clue what I want to do. Masters in social work, masters in psychology, MFT licensing vs. LCSW licensing or even going for a PhD. My sister who is 2 years younger than me is already writing her personal statement for med school. *sigh*

Ending on a happy note: I saw all those promo pics out there and it definitely made me happy. Sam looks downright hot. Kara and Lee too. Ugh, is it April already.
